NAIS: The National Animal Identification Sysytem

I believe NAIS is one of the most intrusive, costly, and unconstitutional government programs I have ever seen. It will force every property owner with livestock to register their farm or property, computer chip each animal with an injected chip or eartag, and then force them to record every movement as well as many other ’’events’’ such as birth, lost tag, sale, death, and on and on. This program will destroy small farmers and livestock owners who raise any of the 29 species mentioned from chickens to clams to cattle.

I have traveled the state of Missouri for the last 3 years speaking out about the horrors of this program. It must be stopped. I will do everything in my power to stop this program.

Specific animal health programs have always worked in the past to control disease and those programs have proven success. NAIS is a Big Ag, Big Government program that will drain rural America of it’s resources and freedoms.

NO NAIS, NO WAY, NOT NOW, NOT EVER!
