Private Property Rights

I believe our rights to property and our protections afforded in the Constitution are the foundation that has enabled America to become the greatest and most prosperous nation on earth. Protecting our rights to use our property will be foremost in my campaign. I strongly oppose the endless regulations and restrictions on our farms, ranches, and private property that are currently taking place in America. It seems our government is out of control. The right to property is sacred in this country and I will do my utmost to defend it.

I oppose the use of eminent domain for private development. This means that your government should never take your property so they can sell it to a developer who wants to build a shopping mall. Eminent domain is only properly used when it is for a legitimate government purpose such as building a road, a school or other government building.
